Okay, so this isn’t really a porch, but since we don’t have an “INTERIOR RAILING IN REALLY NICE RESTAURANTS GALLERY” page, we’ll just have to put the pictures here.  This interior railing in Cleveland, OH consists of custom 4×6″ Top Rail in Douglas Fir, a custom 3 1/2 x 32″ Porch Spindle, also in Douglas Fir.  Next time you’re in Cleveland, stop in at Dolce Wraps and give the owner your compliments on the railing system.  Oh, and compliment their wraps too!

Want ideas for your exterior painting project? This home in Butte, MT shows that when done right, a beautiful paint scheme can really set the property apart.  You can see the final effect is very stunning. They’ve used our 3 1/2 ×20″ and 3 1/2 × 26″ Revival Porch Spindles with the 6″ 4-piece Porch Rail System with sloped bottom rail, in premium Port Orford Cedar.

Yes, there is still snow in Butte, MT. But then, a true Montanan would never let a few measly feet of snow get in the way of an exterior restoration project!  Note this homeowner used the 20″ spindles on the lower porch for a 30″ top rail height. Codes required a taller 36″ top rail height on the upper deck, so she used our 26″ spindles and the same 4-piece Porch Rail System to achieve it.

Just got pictures of a beautiful home in Louisville, KY. They used a combination of straight rail and curved rail, according to the shape of their porch. Included in this wood porch is our 6″ 4-piece Porch Rail System in Port Orford Cedar, and the 3 1/2 x 20″ Victorian Porch Spindle in Douglas Fir. Here are the before and after pictures.

Even the poor dog looks disappointed in the lack of a porch rail, which of course is natural. He didn’t make it in the “after” picture, but I’m sure he’s much happier now.

A Sudbury, MA home using our 4″ 3-Piece Porch Rail System with 2 1/8″ Custom Victorian Porch Spindles, all in premium Port Orford Cedar. We make curved rail using a proprietary process that leaves no splices or exposed end grain. The result is a very smooth, strong curved rail that matches the straight rail perfectly. Call if you’d like a custom width for your spindles like these homeowners did.

If you look closely, you’ll see they opted for the sloped bottom rail and notched spindles which allows for better water drainage and prevents rot.  Oh, how I wish I was sitting on this deck right now, Mai Tai in hand!

M.P. of Sudbury, MA: “We finished up the project last summer and couldn’t be more pleased with the final product…..particularly the rail system from Western Spindle. It is simply stunning. We have had so many compliments from friends, neighbors, and many strangers walking by the house. We have even had great reviews from boaters who are out for a cocktail cruise and pass by our dock.  I have attached a few pics that provide a pretty good look at the railing. The picture with the moon was taken at 3am!!” 1/4/12

I can just see myself at a barbeque sitting on the main porch with my boots up on the railing. Wait, hmmm… maybe that’s why I haven’t been invited to a barbeque?!

This Woodbury, GA home was newly built this year.  With four of the five porches on this home using curved rail, this was a fun project.  Note the raised panel newels and column pedestals used throughout the porches on this home.  We used the same premium Port Orford Cedar wood used in our other products to ensure strength, beauty, and longevity.  Call for a quote if your project requires newels such as these.

Using a proprietary method developed right here in Western Spindle’s shop, we are able to make solid wood curved rail match our popular 4-piece Cedar Porch Rail System exactly. All we need is the width and height of the curve, and we can make your curved porch shine like this one in Georgia.  These homeowners used our popular 3 1/2 x 26″ Tuscan Porch Spindles.  Their angular look compliments the curved rail well.
